Persuasion

Based on Jane Austen’s final novel of the same name, Persuasion is a romantic drama film directed by Carrie Cracknell. Written by Ron Bass and Alice Victoria Winslow, the film tells the story of Anne Elliot, who once again meets Frederick Wentworth; a dashing gentleman from humble origins, whom she was persuaded not to marry eight years ago. Now, Anne must choose between what her heart wants and the strife of putting the past behind her. Starring Dakota Johnson in the lead role, the film also features performances from Cosmo Jarvis, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Mia McKenna-Bruce, Richard E. Grant and Henry Golding.
