Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, a 2003 movie, is directed by Gore Verbinski. It is an American fantasy swashbuckler film which explores a fantasy where the undead pirates are risen due to a curse. Captain Jack Sparrow arrives at Port Royal, unaware of the curse, only to get attacked by the Black Pearl in search of a medallion. The pirates of the Black Pearl are cursed to become immortals and appear as skeletons in the moonlight. They want William Turner’s blood to lift the curse. Jack and a gallant blacksmith, Will, decided to rescue Will’s love interest Elizabeth held by the pirates. Jack and Will not only rescued Elizabeth but also gifted the curse, thus, killing Barbossa, the captain of the undead.
