Punjab1984 is a 2014 Indian Punjabi - language directed by Anurag Singh. It is a period drama film starring Diljith Dosanjh, Kirron Kher, Pavan Malhotra, Sonam Bajwa and Rana Ranbir. This film is based on the true events of 1984 Punjab Insurgency. The movie follows the story of a mother and her missing son during 1984 in Punjab. During this time, the state was facing terribe dangers due to terrorism. The film shows a mother's condition when her son is lost and labelled as a terrorist. Also, this film shows the journey of the devastated mother searching for her son.
