Rajma Chawal

Rajma Chawal, a 2018 movie, is directed by Leena Yadav. It is a comedy-drama picture, starring Rishi Kapoor, Anirudh Tanwar, Aparshakti Khurana, and Amyra Dastur. This Netflix original film is about a relationship between a father and son, which derails after Kabir’s mother dies. Raj Mathur plays the role of a father who wants to reconnect with his son even if it happens through social media. Mathur disguises himself as a young girl named Tara and starts to have a conversation with Kabir. The situation gets worse when Kabir Mathur runs into the real Tara. Seher, being the actual name of the girl, confuses Kabir and compels Raj to make another plan. The movie focuses on three characters, their decisions and their past experiences. Towards the end of the movie, Kabir and Raj have a conversation, where Raj comes clean with every lie he has said. Raj expresses his love for him and the plans he had to make to get close to his son. In the end, Kabir continues to stay at Chandni Chowk with his family and Seher.
