Rang De Basanti

Rang de Basanti is a 2006 Indian Hindi - language drama film directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. The film stars Aamir Khan, Soha Ali Khan, Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, and Kunal Kapur. 

The story begins when Sue, a Britisher finds her grandfather’s diary who witnessed the capture and execution of Indian freedom fighters in the 1930s. This inspired Sue to make a documentary film based on the content of the diary. She reaches India and meets her friend, Sonia who studies at Delhi University.

Sue starts the audition process but is not able to find the right characters. But then she meets Sonia’s friends – DJ, Sukhi, Aslam, and Karan. She instantly casts them in her film. Even though they easily befriend Sue but are not interested in her film or any kind of patriotic activity.
