Samantaral

Samantaral is a psychologically-based drama film from the year 2017 in Indian Bengali language film. The film is written and directed by T.N. Saha and directed by Partha Chakraborty. The film was nominated for the best film in 2017. The cast of the film includes Parambrata Chatterjee as Sujan, Soumitra Chatterjee as Sujan's father, Riddhi Sen as Arko, Surangana Bandyopadhyay as Titli, Aparajita Adhya as Eldest daughter-in-law, Kushal Chakraborty as Supriyo, and Anindya Banerjee as Kaushik. The story begins when Arko returns to his maternal side. There he met a huge and loved family. One different character was his Uncle Sujan as the family keeps him locked in a room and tells everyone that he has a mental illness. Arko forces everyone to take him out and makes him meet the world. Later the secret unfolds when it was Arko got to know that he is transgender and the family thinks of him as a shame.
