Shala is a 2011 Indian-Marathi language film directed by Sujay Dahake. It is a romance drama film which follows the story of Joshi, a 14 year old boy in love with a girl of the same age. Joshi and his company of 3 friends are all going through the same journey. The film is set in the time period of the 70’s. They’re learning the concept of love and their feelings too. Joshi tries to express his feelings, but finds himself unsuccessful. It is a tale of love and growing up and finding a voice. Shala went on to win, best feature film in Marathi category. The film was liked by people for its realistic nature.
