Sonic the Hedgehog 2

After settling in Green Hills, several months after the defeat of Doctor Robotnik, and being adopted by Tom and Maddie Wachowski as their son, Sonic the Hedgehog, voiced by Ben Schwartz, tries his best to help the public as a vigilante with little success. Tom comforts him by telling him to be patient as one day his powers will be needed before they depart for Maddie’s sister’s wedding. The day to prove himself to everyone finally arrives when Dr Robotnik returns, this time with a new partner, Knuckles the Echidna, voiced by Idris Elba, who is in search of an all-powerful emerald, which in the wrong hands could destroy civilizations. Sonic is warned about Knuckles by Tails, a two-tailed fox, who is voiced by Colleen O'Shaughnessey. Together with Tails, Sonic embarks on a globe-trotting journey to find the emerald before its power is used with malicious intent in the wrong hands. Directed by Jeff Fowler and with a screenplay by Pat Casey, Josh Miller and John Whittington, the action-adventure film stars Jim Carrey, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter and Shemar Moore, among others.
