The Eternal

Directed by Rituparno Ghosh, Abohomaan is a 2010 Bengali language film starring Dipankar De, Jisshu Sengupta & Riya Sen. Aniket is one of the most talented filmmakers of Bengal who falls in love with an actress Deepti, they eventually marry & together have a son Apratim. A new actress resembles young Deepti and Aniket falls for her, giving her the name Sreemoti, the name he used to call his wife. The plot comes together at the end when Apratim lies to his wife the same way his father did to Deepti and that circles the meaning of the title ‘Abohomaan’ which is ‘carried over’.
