The Prestige

The Prestige is a 2006 English - language film directed by Christopher Nolan. It is a science fiction thriller film starring Scarlett Johansson, Michael Caine, Piper Perabo, Andy Serkis, and Rebecca Hall. The film is based on the 1995 novel by Christopher Priest that goes by the same name. The film is set in London in the 1800s. The film shows two rival magicians reading each other's diary that contains the secrets of their magic tricks as well as their personal life. Both the magicians become obsessed with their rival's best trick. The tricks, as shown to the audience by both the audience, look the same but neither of them can figure out how the other does it.
