Rup is the only son of Raghu Babu. Rup is married to his father's friend, Dr.Arindam's niece Pushpa. The couple has a 5-year-old child named Tutu. Rup spent his childhood under strict guidance thus he has no taste of friends, the essence of romance or life. After 7 years of marriage, Rup is transferred to Kathi, Midnapur because of his job, where he spends a happy married life. He gets all that he deserved since childhood. Raghu Babu is worried out here in Kolkata. Meanwhile, Rup returns drunk due to which he gets on a fight with his wife. He meets with an accident as he leaves home and loses his memory due to a head injury. He is unable to recognize his wife although he keeps searching for her in mind. Thus Raghu Babu arranges for a girl every day for him. Under the treatment of Dr.Arindam Rup was healing but during an operation, he expires. Tutu loses her sate of mind seeing her father dead.
