While the Telugu version has been available on Amazon Prime Video for quite a while, it is only on rental basis.

Almost a year ago, on July 10, Rakshit Shetty presented his latest production, 777 Charlie, a film in which he played the lead. A heart-warming tale of unconditional love and self-discovery, the film followed the protagonist Dharma (Rakshit), a loner, whose life is turned around when a dog called Charlie begins to live with him. Directed by debutant Kiranraj K, the film had music by Nobin Paul, with Raj B Shetty, Sangeetha Sringeri, Bobby Simha, among others, in pivotal roles.
The film had a good theatrical run across the country and when it eventually began its OTT outing, the Kannada version dropped on Voot Select, where it was available for free to subscribers, while the Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi versions went to Amazon Prime Video. Interestingly, Rakshit’s film headed straight to the store, making it a rental only option, and while it was expected to eventually be available to subscribers at no cost, 777 Charlie has not made that switch since it landed on the platform on September 30, 2022. 777 Charlie was only the second Kannada film after KGF: Chapter 2 to drop on the Prime Video Store, but even the latter became available to subscribers at no additional cost a few weeks later.
While the Kannada version had its TV premiere on Colors Kannada way back in September last year, the other languages are only getting there now. While the Hindi version came on Colors Cineplex on May 27, the Telugu one is now set to come to Zee Telugu on June 11 at 5.30 pm, shortly after the film’s first anniversary.
Rakshit’s next as an actor, Sapta Sagaradaache Ello is expected in theatres, while Kiranraj has announced his next directorial as a horror comedy that is currently in pre-production.
