Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara completed 10 years on Thursday. Based on a bachelorette trip of three friends in Spain, the film stars Hrithik Roshan as Arjun Saluja, Abhay Deol as Kabir Dewan, and Farhan Akhtar in the character of Imran Qureshi. The Bang Bang actor recently revealed that a lot of his father’s (Rakesh Roshan) friends thought that signing this film was his biggest mistake.

The Bang Bang actor opened up about this in a chat with Times Of India and shared that a lot of his father’s friends, who were very concerned about him, thought that it was a huge mistake because he was playing one of the parts among the three main characters and his role was certainly not central.

Hrithik further added that 10 years ago, the general rule was that you have to uphold the star status and he knew that ZNMD was talking about exactly the opposite. “It kind of empowered me because it’s a story that I believed in, and I thought, ‘to hell with the status’, which is merely something that people give you. The work that you do is something that comes out of your own desire,” the actor concluded.

The cast and crew of ZNMD including Hrithik, Katrina Kaif, Farhan, Abhay with Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti and Ritesh Sidhwani celebrated the 10-years anniversary on a zoom call that was hosted by actor-comedian Vir Das. During the video chat, team ZNMD reunited for a virtual table read and reminisced the best moments and dialogues from the film.

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is available to stream on Netflix.
