To celebrate 100 days since the release of Amaran, the makers of the film held an event on Friday. The film's main cast and crew took part in the event. Actor Sivakarthikeyan who headlined the film revealed how Amaran is the only film in his career so far for which he got paid his full salary even before the film's release.
It has been 100 days since the release of Sivakarthikeyan-starrer action drama Amaran. The film which released for Diwali on October 31, is a biopic on late Major Mukund Varadarajan. With Sivakarthikeyan playing the central character, Sai Pallavi played the female lead and Mukund’s wife Indhu Rebecca Varghese.
An event was organised to celebrate 100 years of Amaran. The film’s director Rajkumar Periyasamy, producer Kamal Haasan, and others were in attendance. Speaking at the event, Sivakarthikeyan revealed that Amaran is his first film in career when he received his full salary even before the film’s release.
"I received the salary on time, in fact before time. It is such a rarity. Sometimes they take half the salary, but I received my salary six months before the film's release. RKFI also gave the respect and it is a rarity to see such a company,” Sivakarthikeyan said.
For those who have not watched Amaran, you can stream the film on Netflix. The film opened to positive reviews upon its release, with Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi’s performances being lauded by audience and critics alike.
The film is a biopic on late Major Mukund Varadarajan, who served in the Rashtriya Rifles in Jammu and Kashmir and lost his life while on duty. GV Prakash scored music for the film.
