It's been 13 years since Superstar Rajinikanth's Enthiran hit screens. The digitally remastered and enhanced 4K version is currently streaming on Sun NXT and is available on Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos formats. Here are five reasons to watch the film.

Rajinikanth in dual roles
The superstar plays dual roles as scientist Vaseegaran and the robot Chitti in this film. What's interesting is the way the actor has portrayed the variations in character as a scientist and the robot. His performance as Chitti was a runaway hit and Chitti soon became a household name.

Intriguing storyline
The film's storyline explores the ethical and moral dilemmas associated with an advanced humanoid robot. The plot also delves into multiple themes including love, humour and the potential consequences of creating a sentient machine that looks just like a human being.

Visual Effects
When it comes to grandeur, Shankar is a master at it. In this film, he portrayed the humanoid robot Chitti as very human-like and the VFX work in the film got worldwide recognition. The visual effects were supervised by V Srinivas Mohan and the pre-production work took more than a year to complete. The film emerged as a visual treat for the audiences.

Aishwarya Rai
Aishwarya Rai's performance as Sana, the love interest of Vaseegaran was a hit. One of the highlights of the film was the robot Chitti falling in love with Sana and the latter dealing with the same. The interactions between Chitti and Sana are one to watch out for.

AR Rahman's power-packed music
Composer AR Rahman delivered a stunning album in Enthiran, with all the songs going on to become chartbusters in their own right. The power-packed album comprises the songs Puthiya Manidha, Boom Boom Robot da, Irumbile Oru Idhayam, Kadhal Anukkal, Kilimanjaro and Arima Arima. The film was also released in Telugu and Hindi.
