In the last few weeks, a lot has been said about two men involved with the making of Kiccha Sudeep’s upcoming Vikrant Rona – cinematographer William David and art director Shivakumar. Director Anup Bhandari and Sudeep have been going to town about valuable the contributions of these two men are – Shivakumar for creating the world of Vikrant Rona and translating Anup’s vision of how it should look and feel into the sets of the film and William, for capturing Shivakumar’s art beautifully for the screen.

With only two weeks to go for the release of the fantasy-action-thriller, which is, no doubt, one of the most highly-anticipated movies of the year, team Vikrant Rona released a short behind-the-scenes video that captures the essence of William’s brilliance with the camera. Taking to social media, Sudeep wrote, “14 more days for #Vikrantrona, presenting out DOP, William David's magical cinematography journey! #VRonJuly28.”

In the run-up to the film’s release, the makers have given audiences fleeting glimpses of what is in store with the three songs and the trailer. And now that the makers have finalized all their distribution partners as well, promotions are now in full throttle, as they count down to July 28, when the film opens in theatres in 3D/2D in Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

The team’s overseas distribution partner One Twenty 8 Media is gunning to meet the target 55 country release plan, with 30+ confirmed and more to do so in the days ahead. Meanwhile, in India, Salman Khan Films will present Vikrant Rona’s Hindi version, while PVR Cinemas will distribute it. In Malayalam, Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films will do the honours. Zee Studios, which holds the satellite and digital rights of the film will distribute it in Tamil Nadu, while Cosmos Entertainment will do it in Telengana/Andhra Pradesh, though KFC Distributors.
