Chennai 600028 marked the directorial debut of Venkat Prabhu and is one of the first few films to portray street cricket. The film is about two rival cricket teams who face off in local tournaments. The sports comedy film explores the themes of friendship, romance, and sportsmanship and has ample portions of comedy that evoke laughs. The film stars Jai, Shiva, Premgi, Aravind Akash and others.

Maanaadu – SonyLIV

Maanaadu is a sci-fi political thriller featuring Silambarasan in the lead role. The film stars the actor as NRI Abdul Khaliq, who returns to India for his friend’s wedding. However, in a bizarre turn of events, he gets stuck in a time loop and has to stop the assassination of the chief minister of the state. The film was a commercial success upon its release and also stars SJ Suryah, Kalyani Priyadarshan and others.

Goa – SunNXT

Goa is a buddy comedy film starring Jai, Premgi, Vaibhav, Sneha, Pia Bajpai and others. The film revolves around three rural youngsters who travel to Goa to get fresh experiences and escape their native. There, they get accustomed to a new and free lifestyle as they fall in love with different women. Goa is also one of the early Tamil films to progressively show homosexuality.

Saroja – Prime Video

Saroja is a crime comedy film starring Shiva, Vaibhav, Premji, SP Charan, Vega Tamotia, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Sampath Raj, Nikita Thukral, Bose Venkat and Kajal Aggarwal, among others. The film is about four young men who travel to Hyderabad from Chennai to watch a match but as they take a diversion, they see themselves asked for help by a schoolgirl who is kidnapped.
