18 Pages: Fourth single Nee Valla O Pilla launched, makers announce chief guest for pre-release event

In a week’s time, the Karthikeya 2 pair, Nikhil Siddhartha and Anupama Parameswaran, will hope to recreate their magic for the upcoming romance, 18 Pages, in theatres across the globe. Written by Sukumar and directed by Palnati Surya Pratap, the film will clash with Ravi Teja’s Dhamaka at the box office. Bunny Vas of GA2 Pictures is bankrolling the film and the promotional activity has finally gained steam ahead of its release. The fourth single of the film, Nee Valla O Pilla, was launched today.

Nee Valla O Pilla is a folk ballad elaborating on the protagonist’s search for a girl of his dreams, whom he hasn’t even met yet. He can’t get over her, is precisely obsessed with her beyond anything else in the world. Thirupathi Matla, besides penning the lyrics, has crooned for the soulful number that grows on you over multiple hearings. Gopi Sundar, who has delivered four unique tracks in this album, proves again why he is a melody maker to reckon with.

Lines like ‘Nidurannadi Lede Nee Valla O Pilla..Badhaitunde Nee Yaadila Gundella..Ninnu Chadivina Nunchi..Nannu Nenu Marichina..Anni Idichi Pettina’ linger on your mind long after you listen to it. The other songs from the film Yedu Rangula Vaana, Time Ivvu Pilla and Nannayya Raasina have impressed music buffs. With cinematography by A Vasanth, the film is edited by Navin Nooli and jointly produced by Sukumar Writings.

18 Pages was certified U/A earlier today and it was officially announced that Allu Arjun would be chief guest for the pre-release event on December 19. While 18 Pages is Nikhil’s second release of the year after Karthikeya 2, this is Anupama’s third theatrical film in 2022, which will be followed by an OTT release, Butterfly on Disney+ Hotstar on December 29.
