18 Pages glimpse: Nikhil, Anupama Parameswaran are stunning in this feel-good, nostalgic romance

Nikhil Siddhartha and Anupama Parameswaran are teaming up for the first time for 18 Pages. The nostalgic romance is written by Pushpa filmmaker Sukumar and is directed by his former protege Palnati Surya Pratap, who also helmed films like Current and Kumari 21F in the past. Produced by Bunny Vas under GA2 Pictures in association with Sukumar Writings, 18 Pages is due for a release this summer. Kickstarting the promotional campagin ahead of the release, the makers unveiled the first glimpse of the film yesterday.

The teaser has a young man suggesting love always needn't have a basis - it can neither have a reason nor an answer. He is of course quoting the lines from a diary of a girl he's been reading at his residence. It's very clear that the diary is the link between the male and the female lead in the film. The man just can't put the diary down wherever he goes and is overwhelmed by what he comes across. At the same time, through the diary, we get to see flashes of the girl's past.

One of the major highlights of the glimpse is the music by Gopi Sundar and the lyrics of a number from the film with references to Nannaya, Tikkana with an idea of viewing this love story like a writer's magnum opus. Anupama Parameswaran nails the girl-next-door look in the film while it's a relief to Nikhil Siddhartha in a film after a long time. The cinematographer A Vasanth's visuals enhance the feel-good vibe of the film. 18 Pages is edited by Navin Nooli.

The film's lead pair, Nikhil and Anupama Parameswaran, is yet again collaborating for Karthikeya 2, the sequel to the popular supernatural thriller Karthikeya, directed by Chandoo Mondeti. Nikhil is also working on an action entertainer directed by Garry BH, while Anupama is awaiting the release of Butterfly next.
