Karthikeya 2 pair Nikhil Siddhartha and Anupama Parameswaran will be looking forward to end the year on a high with 18 Pages. The film, written by Sukumar and directed by his former associate Palnati Surya Pratap, will hit screens on December 23. 18 Pages, a feel-good romance, is jointly produced by GA2 Pictures and Sukumar Writings.

While a brief glimpse from 18 Pages caught the attention of viewers few weeks ago, the makers now announced the launch date of the film’s first single. Titled Nannaya Raasina, the song, touted to be a hummable melody with a classical touch, will be out on November 22. Gopi Sundar, who also worked on GA2 Pictures’ earlier hit Most Eligible Bachelor, is scoring the music for the film.

Confirming the same, the team also unveiled a new poster of 18 Pages. In the latest poster, Nikhil is engrossed while reading a diary over a metro ride while a curly-haired Anupama Parameswaran (whose image is positioned as a reflection to the former in an upside-down look) is all smiles in a pleasant avatar. A brief portion of the song was also played as part of the glimpse.

The filming of the project is nearly complete and the post-production is progressing simultaneously at a brisk pace. Palnati Surya Pratap had earlier directed Sushanth’s Current and Raj Tarun, Hebah Patel starrer Kumari 21F, with the latter turning out to be a super-hit at the box office (the film’s story was also written by Sukumar).

The Chrismas weekend should be a safe bet for team 18 Pages in terms of the box office prospects. It’s the holiday season as well, with the festival day (December 25) and the New Year, and it’s expected to draw crowds to theatres. GA2 Pictures had recently produced Urvasivo Rakshasivo, directed by Rakesh Sasii, the Telugu remake of Pyaar Prema Kaadhal starring Allu Sirish and Anu Emmanuel.
