Taking to Instagram today, Alia Bhatt – who has over 83 million Instagram followers currently, shared a bunch of Stories showering her love on Gangubai Kathiawadi. All her Stories contained the caption, ‘2 years of Gangubai Kathiawadi’. Her Stories depicted how she dressed up for the movie and nailed her role.
In April 2022, Netflix India took to Instagram and shared that its subscribers can watch ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ on the streamer from April 26, 2022, onwards. “Dekho, dekho chaand Netflix pe aaraha hai #GangubaiKathiawadi arriving on 26th April,” the IG post read.
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Gangubai Kathiawadi made its theatrical debut on February 25, 2022. The film delves into the journey of a young woman who is coerced into prostitution by a suitor but rises to prominence as a revered figure in the underworld and the Kamathipura red-light district.
In addition to Alia Bhatt's stellar performance, Gangubai Kathiawadi boasts an ensemble cast featuring acclaimed actors such as Ajay Devgn, Jim Sarbh, Shantanu Maheshwari, Vijay Raaz, Indira Tiwari, and Seema Bhargava, among others.
