2018, Agent, Farhana: Highly-anticipated OTT releases on SonyLIV in June

SonyLIV's lineup for the month of June looks very compelling. Some of the most-awaited movies, including the biggest box office blockbusters, are set to arrive on the platform in the coming days.

2018:

The critically acclaimed Malayalam movie 2018 is all set to make its digital debut on SonyLIV on June 7 . Directed by Jude Anthany Joseph and starring Tovino Thomas in the lead role, 2018 is based on the true events that unfolded in Kerala during a devastating natural calamity. The film tells a compelling story of survival and resilience in the face of adversity. With its gripping narrative and powerful performances, 2018 has garnered widespread praise from audiences and critics alike. Besides Tovino Thomas, the movie also stars Kunchacko Boban, Asif Ali, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Aparna Balamurali, Kalaiyarasan, Narain, Lal, Indrans and Aju Varghese.

The Fabelmans:

The Fabelmans is believed to be a semi-autobiographical story of Hollywood legend Steven Spielberg, who has written and directed it. Billed as a coming-of-age story, the movie revolves around the journey of a young man who undergoes a transformative experience upon uncovering a deeply unsettling family secret. It's one of the most loved movies by the critics from last year. The movie even secured seven Oscar nominations, including Best Picture but didn't win any. The movie stars Gabriel LaBelle, Michelle Williams, Paul Dano, Seth Rogen, and Judd Hirsch. It will arrive on the platform on June 16. 

Farhana:

Farhana has Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead role. The social thriller is written and directed by Nelson Venkatesan and is bankrolled by Dream Warrior Pictures. Aishwarya Rajesh plays the role of a Muslim woman hailing from a highly conservative family. And her life turns upside down when she makes a judgemental error while working at a sex chat call centre. The movie also stars Selvaraghavan, Aishwarya Dutta, Jithan Ramesh and Anumol. It will become available for streaming on June 16 . 

Kafas:

It's a new web series by SonyLIV. And the series is created by Sahil Sangha in association with Madiba Entertainment. Actor Sharman Joshi will lead the cast, which also features Mona Singh, Vivan Bhathena, Preeti Jhangiani and Mikail Gandhi. The show will make its debut on June 23. 

Agent:

Written and directed by Surender Reddy, Agent is an espionage thriller. The movie revolves around a dangerous game between three spies. The movie stars Akhil Akkineni and Mammootty in the lead roles. And it has Bollywood actor Dino Morea as the main antagonist in his debut in Telugu. The movie will become available for streaming on June 23.
