After losing his childhood friend Kirana, when her father sold her off, Gaspar was never really the same. But now, he decides to sign off with a master stroke of vengeance and suaveness. He plans a final heist, at the jewelry store of Kirana’s father, in order to retrieve an exclusive, locked black box in his possession, and preferably kill the monster who took Kirana away from him.
But if only life was so easy. Gaspar has his own liabilities and responsibilities and must organize his team properly to execute the dangerous heist before time. Director Noen himself shared in a press release that he has chosen to depict a poorly managed, suppressed society in a decaying city that is saturated by violence. The film’s gritty texture and moral ambiguity further blur the lines between protagonists and antagonists.
Brimming with action sequences, car chases, brutal accidents, and hard-core twists and turns, 24 Hours With Gaspar is bound to make a splash for its commercial yet sincere appeal. The film stars a stellar Indonesian cast comprising the likes of Reza Rahadian, Shenina Cinnamon, Laura Basuki, Kristo Imanuell, Sal Priadi, Dewi Irawan, and Iswadi Pratama.
