Even though the Karan Johar directed ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ had been released as many as 25 years ago (year 1998 to be precise), it only looks like yesterday. The film is as evergreen as it was when it was released. These days, everyone is talking about the film as it clocked 25 years of its release. And in order to celebrate the film’s 25 years, the film’s makers decided to re-release the film at select theatres. The best part is that, the film’s tickets had got sold off within minutes.
And, at a theatre screening the film ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, much to everyone’s surprise, the film’s cast Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and the film, director Karan Johar made a sudden and surprise appearance. Amidst all this, Kajol’s presence was sorely missed. The theatre in which Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Karan Johar had made a surprise visit, were seen shouting ‘Kajol, Kajol’. Ditto had happened even on social media when the video of their visit went viral. Many of the comments were again missing Kajol in a big way.
Kajol, on the other hand, more than made up for her absence from the theatre visit. Kajol took to social media and tried to recreate the iconic character of Kajol. After posting the said video, Kajol captioned the post stating, “Stepping back into Anjali’s shoes after 25 years (couldn’t find the basketball though) So many memories and love attached to this film.. So glad that everyone loves it as much as I do. A first for @karanjohar and a beginning to an amazing journey for @dharmamovies .. As for the film ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, besides Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji, the film also starred veteran actors Anupam Kher, Farida Jala and Archana Puran Singh in all-important roles.
