Siddharth’s milestone 40th film was the coming-of-age drama 3BHK written and directed by Sri Ganesh, based on a short story called 3BHK Veedu by Aravindh Sachidanandan. Released in theatres in Tamil and Telugu on July 4, 2025, the film received moderate reviews. The film, according to reports, will be on OTT in early August.

3BHK, it has been reported, will be available on JioHotstar (via OTTplay Premium also) from August 4, 2025. The film, which also stars Sarathkumar, Devayani, Meetha Raghunath, Yogi Babu, Subbu Panchu, Vivek Prasanna, Thalaivaasal Vijay, among others, marked the Tamil film debut of Kannada actress Chaithra J Achar.
Sri Ganesh’s 3rd directorial after 8 Thottakkal and Kuruthi Aattam, 3BHK was produced by Arun Viswa for Shanti Talkies. The film follows the travails of a middle-class family over two decades as they strive to fulfil their long-cherished dream of moving from a rented accommodation to owning a home.
The story begins in 2006, with Vasudevan (Sarathkumar), his wife Shanti (Devayani) and their two children Prabhu (Siddarth) and Aarthi (Meetha). Vasudevan’s dream is to save up enough to buy a home to call their own. But every time he comes close to fulfilling that dream, something happens and he’s forced to divert his life savings, whether it is to get Prabhu into engineering college, health issues, Aarthi’s wedding and so on and so forth. Whether or not the family manages to buy that elusive home is at the crux of the tale.
Shot predominantly in Chennai, 3BHK has music by Amrit Ramnath, while cinematography was handled by Dinesh B Krishnan and Jithin Stanislaus. Gamesh Shiva edited it to its final 2 hour and 20 minutes run time. 3BHK was Siddharth’s second Tamil release of the year. He was earlier seen in Test, along with R Madhavan and Nayanthara, which had a direct-to-OTT opening.
