The trio brings the layered mystery of sudden deaths of scientists as their lives get on the risk radar, and investigations lead to a strange civilisation.

The series stars John Bradley as Jack Rooney, a moody Oxford Five member, and Eiza González as Auggie Salazar, an Oxford Five member whose dedication skills are as sharp as her mind. Alex Sharp as Will Downing, an Oxford-Five member and a physics teacher; Jovan Adepo as Saul Durand, a physics research assistant and another member of the Oxford science group; Jess Hong as Jin Cheng, a science prodigy working as a physicist and also one of the members of the Oxford scientists. Benedict Wong is Da Shi, who is a smart investigative officer searching for the truth about the deaths of scientists.

“They are coming and there is nothing you can do to stop them." One of the characters hints at the inevitable fate that is nearing civilization. The novel adaptation reflects on the alien invasion that is fated to change everyone’s lives.
