The acclaimed Indian series, Delhi Crime, turns three years old today. On the occasion, actress Rasika Dugal, who starred in the series along with Shefali Shah, shared how much the show meant to her.

The actress took to her official Instagram handle to make a post about the show on Netflix. It featured a reel of the actress’ character on the show, IPS trainee Neeti Singh. In the caption of the post, she talked about how the show was one that is ‘close to her heart’. She also mentioned that she misses the ‘idealism’ of her character and also working with the entire team of the series.

Check out Dugal’s post below:

In a statement, Dugal talked about how grateful she felt to be a part of the show, saying that the show gave her a chance to work with a cast and crew who told the story in such a sensitive way. “I will always be grateful to have been part of telling an important story about a heinous crime which does not forget to examine how women have to constantly negotiate and navigate to live in a patriarchal society,” she added.

The series became the first Indian show to receive the award for Outstanding Drama Series at the 2020 International Emmy Awards. In addition to Dugal and Shah, the show also features Adil Hussain and Rajesh Tailang. Richie Mehta helmed the series.

The actress will reprise her role in the show’s second season as well.

The first season of Delhi Crime is available to stream on Netflix.

Meanwhile, Dugal will next be seen in Spike and Lord Curzon Ki Haveli.
