The film starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in lead roles won critical acclaim. It also marked Bhansali’s debut as a music composer with lyrics by A. M. Turaz, Vibhu Puri, and the late Jagdish Joshi. Guzaarish gave us the gem Udi, which earned singer Sunidhi Chauhan a Filmfare nomination for Best Female Playback Singer.
