Premium45: Arjun Janya to present first teaser of his directorial debut on THIS date

Popular Kannada composer Arjun Janya’s directorial debut, 45, has been announced as an Independence Day 2025 release. The film, starring Century Star Shivarajkumar, Real Star Upendra and Raj B Shetty in the lead, has been shrouded in mystery, with the team keeping details tightly under wraps. That, it seems, will end soon, what with Arjun preparing to give audiences a sneak peek into what he’s made with the film’s first teaser.
45 teaser for Ugadi
The team has decided to reveal the teaser of 45 on the auspicious occasion of Ugadi, on March 30 at 6.45 pm. Produced by Ramesh Reddy, and based on a story by Arjun, 45 is said to be an action comedy, for which the latter had created an animated narrative that he used to tell the producer and the actors what the film was going to be like.
The film was officially launched in April 2023, and wrapped in September 2024, around the time that leading man Shivarajkumar had begun chemotherapy as part of the treatment for cancer of the bladder. In fact, the Century Star had to shoot for action blocks to complete the film, which he did, despite fatigue owing to the treatment protocol.

The actor was determined to complete the film and allow Arjun to work on the post-production without any hassles, before heading to the US, where he had surgery to remove and replace the cancerous bladder.

45 was the last film that Shivarajkumar shot for prior to his US trip. While he took a leave of absence from the as-yet-untitled #Shivanna131, all other commitments, including on Ram Charan’s next and Hemanth M Rao’s directorial, were postponed. Following the successful surgery and 2 month recuperation, Shivarajkumar resumed shooting in early Marchm with #Shivanna131 and RC16 the immediate focus areas. He is also rumoured to be a part of Jailer 2.
