Well, Arjun is premiering his film ahead of Mark, albeit in a different country altogether. A select set of lucky audiences in Canada will be the first to see the world of 45, as the team has organized a premiere there on December 23, which is already sold out.
45 to have paid premieres on December 24 across Karnataka
Earlier today, KVN Productions, which is distributing 45 in Karnataka posted on social media that bookings for a special premiere show would open on December 21 at 10.34 am. Would it be just the one early show for the benefit of fans at the film’s main theatre in Gandhinagar? According to Suprith from KVN Productions, several paid premiere shows will be held on the evening of December 24, bookings for which will begin on December 21.
45 is Arjun Janya’s directorial debut, which was meant to be in theatres on August 15, but had to be postponed owing to delays in the completion of the film’s VFX work, which comprises about 40% of the narrative. It was eventually fixed for December 25 and both Arjun and Sudeep have said there is no question of a clash between their films, maintaining that there’s space for both to get the screens/shows they need in Karnataka.
Arjun’s film also stars Rajendran, Jaffer Sadiq and Pramod Shetty, and the filmmaker has painstakingly ensured that the plot is not revealed in any of his promotional material. He has, however, said that the idea came to him after he lost his brother during the Covid-19 pandemic.
