The trailer of Arjun Janya’s directorial debut, 45, will be released on December 15, at an event in Bengaluru. While fans who cannot make it to the event can, obviously, catch a live stream on their mobile screens, Arjun and co are also offering some the opportunity to watch the proceedings on a big screen. On December 15, when the event begins in Bengaluru, a select section of fans can watch it all unfold on a theatre screen in Mysuru, Mangaluru, Tumakuru, Shivamogga, Davanagere, Hospete and Hubballi.

One theatre each in these 7 districts will play the trailer launch via Cube satellite link. The team will have a trial run this week to figure out if this will present any technical challenges and delays in transmission, among others. “We will have another trial run on the 15th as well,” said Arjun at a media briefing in Bengaluru. Admission to these theatrical launches will be regulated via passes, which will be distributed on first-come-first-serve basis in the coming days. Details of the same will be announced shortly.

The trailer launch event, adds the debutant filmmaker, will have never-before-seen elements. “We are introducing a technology for the first time ever in India at the trailer launch, which will be the surprise factor,” said Arjun. The event is an extension of the film, which promises a lot of novel elements to audiences. For starters, the subject, they reckon, has not been attempted in Indian cinema before, while the presentation is VFX heavy, to create visual spectacles.

Following the trailer launch, the team will head off on an intense round of promotions, heading to Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai and Kochi, as part of their pan-India release plans. Starring Shivarajkumar, Raj B Shetty and Upendra in the lead, 45 is releasing in theatres on December 25. The film is, reportedly, opening with premiere shows in the overseas market, which has sparked speculation that there will be paid premieres back home too.
KVN Productions is distributing the film and the team is hopeful of maximum theatrical coverage, even though it is in a box office clash with Kiccha Sudeep’s Mark.
