The Kabul Premier League (KPL) match on Saturday saw the Shaheen Hunters stun the Abasin Defenders with a remarkable display of power hitting. Representing the Hunters, Sediqullah Atal unleashed an onslaught of 7 sixes in just 8 balls against the left-arm spinner Amir Zazai, leaving the opposition in awe.

He has equalled Indian batter Ruturaj Gaikwad's 7 sixes in an over record.

The spectacle unfolded in the 19th over when the Hunters were showing glimpses of promise at 158-6 after 18 overs. However, it was Sediqullah's fiery assault that completely shifted the momentum in favour of his team.

The left-arm spinner, Amir Zazai, had the unenviable task of bowling to Atal, but he became the victim of the batter's audacious strokes.

The first ball of the over, which was also a no-ball, soared over the boundary for a spectacular six. Following that, Zazai's bowling became erratic, and he conceded five wides, further boosting the Hunters' score.

Sediqullah was not about to waste this golden opportunity, and he went on to smash the next five balls for sixes as well, leaving the crowd on the edge of their seats. The stadium erupted with joy as the fans witnessed an incredible feat of power hitting as the fifth six of the over saw the left-handed batter successfully completing his century.

Meanwhile, Zazai's figures after the four-over spell were quite astonishing, with 1 wicket for 79 runs. He had earlier dismissed Taj Mohammed in the third over, who had scored in the single digits.

The Hunters put on 213 runs in their 20 overs, with Sediqullah's brilliant unbeaten 118 off 56 balls. Their dominance continued with the ball as well as they quickly dismantled the Defenders' batting lineup, taking five wickets in just 9 overs and leaving the opposition struggling at 55-5 on the scoreboard.

They went on to take the rest of the wickets quickly as well allowing the Defenders to add a mere 66 runs to their total.

This remarkable performance resulted in an 82-run victory for the Hunters. However, despite their success, the Hunters currently hold the third position in the standings, with one win and two losses from three matches.

On the other hand, the Defenders find themselves at the bottom of the table, having suffered three defeats in four matches.
