Buoyed by the success of the first season of ‘Taj: Reign of Revenge’, the makers went onto release the trailer of the second season titled ‘Taj: Reign of Revenge’. Even though the second season is equally gripping and engaging like the first one, what one sees is that, there are many characters who has bid adieu in the second season. For the unversed, here is the list of 5 characters from ‘Taj: Reign of Revenge’ who have bid goodbye

Sher Afghan
He was a Mughal courtier and Mehrunissa’s husband who Emperor Akbar chose for her. Besides disliking Salim, he fights him at every given opportunity. Unfortunately, he gets killed by Mahabat (who happens to be one of Salim's soldiers), while having a conversation with a member of a competing party, Mirza Hakim, about their conspiracy to assassinate Salim.

Shah Daniyal
Shah Daniyal, the youngest son of King Akbar, happens to be the next in line to the throne following Murad's demise. But, after finding out about his mother Anarkali and Salim’s love affair (in season 1), Shah Daniyal takes it upon himself to put an end to Salim and acquire the much-coveted throne. Salim discovers Shah Daniyal's whereabouts and kills him in retaliation for the passing away of Anarkali.

Badyuni
Shah Daniyal had the complete backing of a devoted Muslim, Badyuni, who wanted him to succeed his father as king. But with Salim and his sons Khusrau and Khurram in line, that looked totally impossible. Badyuni , then, plots the death of Salim, Khusrau and Khurram by spiking their drinks with the same poison that he had used years ago to kill Akbar. After Salim notices that something was being wrong with the drink, he, then, pursues the culprit. He then kills the culprit - Badyuni and sends his skull as a message to Shah Daniyal.

Abul Fazal
Abu'l-Fazl ibn Mubarak, also known as Abul Fazl, Abu'l Fadl and Abu'l-Fadl 'Allami was the grand vizier of the Mughal emperor Akbar. Abul Fazal, along with Ruqaiya Begum plots to make Khusrau the successor to the throne. For this, Abul Fazal joins hands with Amar Singh and goes to kill Salim only to discover that Amar Singh had been supporting Shah Salim from the very beginning. Salim, then marks the death of Abul Fazal.

Maharani Man Bai
After Salim’s exile (which was shown in season 1), his wife Man bai completely loses her senses due to which she is held in captivity. Khusrau, then, insists that Shah Salim is not his monarch. As a form of retaliation, Shah Salim jabs an iron rod into Khursau's eye as a sign of warning for everyone who tries to go against him. Following which Khusrau’s mother, Man bai loses the will to live and attempts to end life by committing suicide.
