While promoting his latest film, The Adam Project, the Canadian actor recently did an interview with Film Companion’s Anupama Chopra. Ryan talked about his experiences on set with co-stars Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Garner, and Zoe Saldana and shared his love for spectacle-driven films. Of course, the Blade: Trinity actor maintained his usual hilarious and charming demeanour throughout the conversation.

He has a fear of flying

Despite his jet-setting lifestyle, the actor once developed a fear of flying. His apprehensions stemmed from an awful skydiving experience from his teenage days. However, the actor overcame his fear when travelling to film his 2011 blockbuster film, The Green Lantern. The actor played a test pilot for the US Air Force in the movie and had to be attached to high wires in order to play the part. He thought of his young nieces and nephews’ excitement about the film to overcome his fear of flying.

He was previously married to Scarlett Johansson

Before settling down with his wife, actress Blake Lively, the actor had a few other famous paramours. Once engaged to singer Alanis Morisette, Ryan was also married to actress Scarlett Johansson in 2008. The couple announced their divorce in 2010 through a joint statement, wishing each other the best. They split in 2011, and Ryan went on to marry Blake in 2012. Has a multitude of business ventures

He recently took a sabbatical

The father of three young girls wanted to give his family more time and focus on his non-acting projects.
