She is one of four women living in a small town in India, stifled by social norms, and is on a journey to claim her desires, even if it means shoplifting. As her courage to shoplift grows, so does her confidence in life. Her fantastic acting chops earned her a Star Screen Awards nomination for 'Most Promising Newcomer – Female'.

Ahaan (Netflix)

Ahaan is a 2019 feel-good comedy-drama featuring Plabita as Onella, a regular customer at a popular baked goods store run by the family of Ahaan (Abuli Mamaji), a young man with down syndrome. Ahaan forms an unlikely friendship with Ozzy (Arif Zakaria), a man with obsessive-compulsive disorder. The film received critical acclaim for casting an actor with down syndrome and its optimistic take on genetic disorders.

Waah Zindagi (ZEE5)

In the 2021 comedy-drama Waah Zindagi, Plabita plays Reena, the childhood sweetheart of Ashok, a poor farmer's son aiming to be an entrepreneur. A crime drama thriller web series, Breathe: Into the Shadows, tells the tale of a 6-year-old girl's kidnapping and the events that follow.
