All of us, while being obsessed with new content and living in anticipation of new shows and films every week, find comfort in old movies. Yesteryear films and old ones that have become cult classics over time are always our comfort place, and there are no two ways about it. One genre that we have stopped making films like in the 2000s is comedy. The Hindi film industry, or Bollywood as one would want to hear, once made some of the most hilarious comedy films of all time. Of course, there were flaws in them, and of course, there were politically incorrect jokes in them if we see them today, but none of us can deny that we laughed our hearts out on those. But there are also some that are safe today. Shemaroo is one such platform that holds many comedies from the past and has them even available on YouTube.

Shemaroo has always been a leading company in backing some of the most interesting Bollywood movies, and now as they also sit with a long list of movies on the digital front, there is so much to explore from their library. Last week, we suggested some of the most revered gems of movies that are on their YouTube channel and realized there is so much more unexplored in their kitty. One of the most undiscovered places in the streaming world is the bank of comedy movies on Shemaroo Me. So today, as we revisit some, we want you to get on the bus too.

6 Comedy Films On Shemaroo Me You Must Watch

Bhagam Bhag (2006)

Cast: Akshay Kumar, Govinda, Lara Dutta, and Paresh Rawal.

There is so much chaos in this comedy of errors that you will be left asking for more by the time it ends. Bhagam Bhag is that phase where Akshay Kumar delivered some of the most hilarious movies of all time, and that too casually. The movie also starred iconic actors like Govinda and Paresh Rawal with Lara Dutta by their side. A hotel is flooded literally by the climax of this one, and you are not ready for what insanity this one has to offer.

Dhamaal (2007)

Cast: Sanjay Dutt, Riteish Deshmukh, Javed Jaffrey, Arshad Warsi, and Ensemble.

We all know Dhamaal, and if some of us don't, we should not be allowed in public until we watch it. Dhamaal is timeless, and there is no way one cannot like it. The film is about a group of oddballs on the hunt for hidden treasure in Goa that belongs to a man who died in front of them. They part ways and take different routes to reach the same spot where the treasure is buried. But the journey to that treasure is so hilarious that you might get a laughter attack. Dhamaal will always be in one of the top places when someone talks of comedies from the 2000s.

Phir Hera Pheri (2006)

Cast: Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar, and Suniel Shetty.

Do we even need to convince you how good this one is? While it was not at par with the first part, and honestly, nothing can ever be, it was still a winner for making us laugh insanely. It was the return of the iconic trio, and this time in a setup that was drastically different. Phir Hera Pheri is a meme template now and one that is the most relevant at all times.

Golmaal: Fun Unlimited (2006)

Cast: Ajay Devgn, Sharman Joshi, Tusshar Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, and ensemble.

This was the Rohit Shetty before he became the Rohit Shetty who blows up cars. Golmaal: Fun Unlimited was the beginning of a franchise that would go on to have a world that would be hooked to it. The film was so fresh for its time that the rewatch value of the movie was top-notch. The movie is indeed a laughter riot, and you must not miss it.

Jamai Raja (1990)

Cast: Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, and Hema Malini.

When a rich girl falls in love with a boy not so rich, the boy too has to prove himself to her mother. The mother, however, chooses to bring obstacles in the way, and now the boy has to come out successful of them all. Jamai Raja is one of those comedies that has found an audience in every decade on satellite television. Now, as it is available on streaming, you must not miss it.

Masti (2004)

Cast: Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani, Vivek Oberoi.

Masti is what happens when husbands go rogue. The movie that gave us Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza. The movie, while has not aged well with its dialogue, has always been one of the most-watched comedies in the country. Masti was not just known for its hilarious plot and even funnier acting performances but also for an album that was a banger.
