Made in Korea – Netflix (March 12)

Made in Korea is a Tamil drama that follows the journey of Shenba, a small-town woman whose lifelong dream is to travel to South Korea. Priyanka Arul Mohan plays the lead role in the film directed by Ra Karthik. Living a routine life filled with responsibilities, Shenba finds comfort in imagining a future where she can finally visit the country she admires through pop culture, food and travel stories. And when she eventually lands in the country of her dreams, her experience is far from what she had imagined. Her dream eventually comes true when she gets the opportunity to visit Seoul, but the experience turns out to be very different from what she had imagined. Set partly in India and partly in South Korea, the film also stars Park Hye-jin and No Ho-jin in supporting roles.

Resort – JioHotstar via OTTplay Premium (March 13)

Resort is an upcoming Tamil long-running web series with four episodes releasing every Friday. Starring Eruma Saani fame Vijay Kumar Rajendran, who has also written the series, Resort is helmed by director Praveen Benett. Set in the fictional RR Resort, the story follows Vetri, an uneducated housekeeping staff member with raw culinary talent who dreams of becoming a chef, setting up a compelling clash of ambition and hierarchy. The cast also includes Thalaivasal Vijay, Keerthi Amar, Abeneya Nethrun, Dharshana Sripal, Sai Dhanya, and Badava Gopi, among others.

Kenatha Kanom – Theatres (March 13)

Kenatha Kanom is an upcoming Tamil rural comedy-drama starring Yogi Babu in the lead role. Directed by late filmmaker Suresh Sangaiah, the film is set in a drought-stricken village where the lives of residents are severely impacted by water scarcity. Hoping to solve their crisis, the villagers decide to dig a well under Yogi Babu’s house. However, instead of finding water, they uncover a mysterious fossil believed to be that of a dinosaur. The unexpected discovery draws the attention of government officials and the archaeology department, turning the village into a chaotic hotspot. Lovelyn Chandrasekhar, Raichel Rabecca, George Mariyan, Mottai Rajendran and Ramakrishnan form the cast.

Local Times – Prime Video (March 13)

Local Times is an upcoming Tamil comedy-drama series. It consists of seven episodes and shows how a group of journalists working in a struggling local newspaper called Namma Seidhi are trying to survive in the rapidly changing digital media landscape. From growing competition from the digital platforms to financial troubles, Local Times series will explore the story through the journalist friends who strive to revive the legacy of their publication. It is directed by Naveen George Thomas, created by Abbhinav Kastura and written by Praveen Muthurangan. The cast includes Rishikanth, Abdool Lee, Maurish Dass, Adwitha Arumugam, R. Pandiarajan, Chinni Jayanth, Rini and Nandhitha Sreekumar in key roles.

Pookie – ZEE5 via OTTplay Premium (March 13)

Pookie is a Tamil romantic drama starring Ajay Dhishan and RK Dhanusha in the lead roles. The film is directed by Ganesh Chandra and produced by Vijay Antony who has also edited, and scored for the film. The story follows Kailash and Aazhi, a couple who abruptly break up in public after a heated argument, ending their six-year relationship. As they try to move on, both struggle with heartbreak and lingering emotions while attempting to rebuild their lives. Their journey explores the complexities of modern relationships, love, and second chances. The film also features Pandiarajan, Vivek Prasanna and Black Pandi in supporting roles.

Naangal – SunNXT via OTTplay Premium (March 13)

Naangal is a Tamil drama film directed by Avinash Prakash. The film stars Mithun V, Rithik Mohan, and Nithin D in key roles, along with Abdul Rafe.
