There’s very little that director Hemanth M Rao is willing to reveal about his next directorial, 666 Operation Dream Theatre, but he’s been more than happy to share what his lead cast will look like in the film. Only days after he released not one, but two images of Daali Dhananjaya in a retro avatar, he has followed that up with Century Star Shivarajkumar’s look from the film, ahead of the Kannada star’s birthday.
The image had audiences exclaiming that this was not Shivarajkumar, but Dr Rajkumar again. Shivanna looked absolutely like his late father’s avatar in Operation Diamond Racket, a callback that worked well with fans. “Annavre ond second kanmunde bandangaaytu”, was a common sentiment that was seen in the comment section of the look. It also led to speculation that the film would be a thriller a tribute of sorts to Dr Rajkumar’s spy universe. “CID 666 S/o CID 9999” they said.

Amid all the praise and hope for a good film from Hemanth and co, which fans reckon will be a milestone character for Shivarajkumar, there was also a sense of concern among some. Shivarajkumar’s rather gaunt physique had many well-wishers urging him to rest well. From diet suggestions to requests that he ought to take care of himself, fans were genuinely worried about the Hattrick Hero.

Shivarajkumar had lost weight during his battle with bladder cancer and subsequent surgery to remove the organ and replace it. While he has resumed work and most of his normal activities, he’s not regained his pre-surgery physique, which, some thought, made him look dull.
666 Operation Dream Theatre is the interim project that Hemanth took up since his earlier plan, Bhairava Kone Paata, had to be put on hold. Since it is an action-heavy film and Shivarajkumar is not yet back to shape, the team has decided to work on it at a later stage.
