Premium69th National Film Awards: From Vijay Deverakonda to Chiranjeevi, Telugu celebs wish team Pushpa, RRR and others
Telugu cinema, on the whole, won 10 national awards this year

It was a memorable day for the Telugu film fraternity today, when the industry amassed 10 national awards in as many categories for the year 2021-22. While RRR won six awards, Pushpa registered two wins, Uppena and Konda Polam managing a victory each. Leading celebrities in the industry congratulated all the teams that won the awards this evening.
Vijay Deverakonda, Sai Dharam Tej, Aadi Saikumar and Jr NTR hailed their actor counterpart Allu Arjun for being the first ever Telugu actor (male) to win the National Award. Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan too congratulated their nephew and the Pushpa actor for the unprecedented feat and team RRR, Konda Polam, Uppena besides Telugu journalist Purushottama Acharyulu, calling it a proud moment for the fraternity.

Varun Tej applauded SS Rajamouli for always making a mark on international and national forums. He praised Devi Sri Prasad, Keeravaani, Chandrabose and said Allu Arjun truly deserved this win. Vishnu Manchu mentioned it was a great achievement that Allu Arjun is the only Telugu actor from this generation to win in the Best Actor category, flooding the other winners with praises as well.
The man of the hour, RRR director SS Rajamouli made the effort to congratulate actors, technicians across multiple industries including Telugu - Allu Arjun, Alia Bhatt, Devi Sri Prasad, Chandrabose, to name a few and signed off gracefully by adding, “To all the winners across the nation. May this lift your Spirits to deliver even more great films..:)”
The other winners in Telugu were VFX supervisor V Srinivas Mohan (RRR), King Solomon (action choreography, RRR), Prem Rakshith (choreography, RRR). RRR was also named the Best Film Offering Wholesome entertainment. RRR is out on Disney+ Hotstar, ZEE5, Netflix while Pushpa, Konda Polam is available on Amazon Prime. Uppena is streaming on Netflix.
