Hiphop Tamizha Aadhi who was known for his music until 2017, made his directorial debut with Meesaya Murukku and became a versatile artist thereafter. Written and directed by Aadhi, Meesaya Murukku is a coming-of-age comedy drama in which he also played the lead role. Meesaya Murukku also stars Aathmika in her debut, as the female lead, along with others including actors Vivekh, RJ Vigneshkanth, Vijayalakshmi and others. The film was released in theatres on July 21, 2017, to majorly positive responses and commercial success. It was subsequently remade in Kannada as Padde Huli in 2019. The film revolves around an aspiring musician who falls in love with a girl in college. As he tries to pursue both his romance and interest, he is posed with challenges. The film was produced by Khushbu and Sundar C under Avni Movies banner.
Aadhi who was last seen in PT Sir, recently announced his next film which has been titled Kadaisi Ulaga Por. Touted to be the artist’s most ambitious project, the makers had released a teaser which shows glimpses from war-stricken city, adhering to the title of the film.

The film also stars actors Nassar, Nataraj, Anagha, N. Alagan Perumal, Harish Uthaman, Munishkanth, Singampuli, Kalyan Master, Elango Kumaravel, Thalaivasal Vijay, Mahanadi Shankar, Elango Kumanan, Shiva Shara RA, Vinoth GD, Guhan Prakash, Alex, Rocket Rajesh, Chu Khoy Sheng and others. Kadaisi Ulaga Por will be helmed by Aadhi, who will also score music for the film.
