Anup Bhandari is currently in pursuit of etching a name for himself in history with his Vikrant Rona. The upcoming film is being touted as the next big thing in the Kannada Film Industry which, following the stellar success of K.G.F: Chapter 2, has made a prominent name for itself across the globe. But for Anup, the journey began exactly seven years ago with the release of his debut film RangiTaranga – not only did the film fetch him great commercial rewards but it also introduced yet another talent to Kannada cinema.
In this vein, Bhandari took to social media to celebrate the seventh anniversary of the film’s release and also thank the audience for showering love and support all along. “Everything that I am today is because of the love you started showering on us exactly 7 years ago,” wrote Anup Bhandari in his tweet and also tagged the main cast and crew of RangiTaranga. Anup began his filmmaking career and also launched his kid brother Nirup Bhandari as the lead in the film which was produced by H.K. Prakash.
RangiTaranga had two other debutants in the form of actors Radhika Narayan and Avantika Shetty with veteran Telugu-Kannada actor Sai Kumar playing a crucial role in the film. Cinematographer William David was lauded for his work on the film and for lending it an edge through the brooding color palette – David is expected to create a similar impact with his craft in Vikrant Rona, although at a much larger scale.
Ajaneesh B. Loknath, who had made a grand debut only two years ago with the Rakshit Shetty directorial Ulidavaru Kandanthe, impressed everyone with the soundtrack of RangiTaranga. His association with Anup Bhandari has remained strong through the years and the music of Vikrant Rona has already been enthralling the digital audience. The team of Vikrant Rona has released two singles from the music album, namely Ra Ra Rakkamma and Lullaby Song (both written by Anup Bhandari).
