On August 10, 2023, the Television Academy and FOX announced that the 75th Emmy Awards telecast would air on FOX on Monday, January 15, 2024. Those in India and the rest of SAARC (Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan) can watch the ceremony on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at 5:30 a.m. IST, thanks to Lionsgate Play.

For their 75th year, the Emmys will honour the performers, writers, directors, and craftspeople whose work has entertained, inspired, and connected viewers all over the world over the past year with a live broadcast from the Peacock Theatre at LA Live. Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon, and Jeannae Rouzan-Clay will serve as executive producers for this year's Emmys on behalf of Jesse Collins Entertainment.

Earlier, in a statement, Amit Dhanuka, Executive Vice President, Lionsgate, who announced that the highly coveted awards would be broadcast LIVE on the platform for the third time, said that Lionsgate Play is a premium streaming platform committed to presenting the finest to its consumers across the globe. They are excited to broadcast the Emmys in real time to audiences in India, Malaysia, and the Philippines in honour of the show's 75th anniversary. This is a historic year for the Emmys, and to celebrate, they will be streaming the nominations live on YouTube. Fans are anticipating a thrilling event, and they want to keep the energy level up for optimal viewing.

The Television Academy decided to modernise the famous statuette in recognition of the Emmys' everlasting significance as they marked 75 years of the awards' distinguished history. The improved statuette was created as a tribute to art, history, and genius, and it was inspired by Halley's Comet, which only appears once every 75 years.

While Television Academy President and CEO Maury McIntyre shared that they were trying to find a way to honour the historic nature of the anniversary, for three-quarters of a century, the Emmys have served as a platform for honouring outstanding achievement in the television industry. No matter what century the greatest media on Earth is in, those standards haven't changed all that much. They didn't want to go too far outside that realm with Emmy herself.
