Rakshit Shetty starrer 777 Charlie had an encouraging start at the box office on June 10. The film, which came out in five different languages, began its box office run with gross collections ranging between 7 crores and 8 crores (INR) and looked good to gain further traction over the weekend. And the film has done exactly that as the latest box office figures reveal a Rs. 30 crore weekend (worldwide) for the film with the Karnataka box office proving to be the biggest contributor. According to the recent trade reports, 777 Charlie has earned close to Rs. 24 crores (nett), including a superb Sunday run that fetched the team an estimated value of Rs. 9.50 crores. The early estimates of the Day 4 performance suggest that the film is inching towards the Rs. 30 crore mark in terms of nett collections in India.

For obvious reasons, the film has done exceptionally well in Karnataka and the three-day weekend collection adds up to Rs. 24 crores (gross). This puts 777 Charlie in the elite list of highest-grossing Kannada films in 2022 and is currently behind K.G.F: Chapter 2 and the Puneeth Rajkumar starrer James. Should the former continue its good run, owing to great word-of-mouth publicity, it is likely to beat the non-KGF 2 records in its home state.

Karthik Gowda of K.R.G Studios, the distributor of the Kannada version of 777 Charlie, has already the film a blockbuster following the Day 4 (Monday) theatrical run. He would thank Rakshit Shetty, the producer of the film, for his belief and urged him to soon kickstart their upcoming venture Richard Anthony. Rakshit Shetty would be making his comeback as a director with Richard Anthony, a spinoff of the 2013 critical success Ulidavaru Kandanthe wherein he also played the titular role. Hombale Films, the makers of the KGF franchise and the upcoming film Salaar starring Prabhas, will be backing Rakshit Shetty's upcoming venture.

777 Charlie has been written and directed by Kiranraj K and the film also stars Sangeetha Sringeri, Bobby Simha, Raj B. Shetty, and Danish Sait. Centered on an endearing man-dog relationship that evolves to become a life-changing road trip, 777 Charlie resonated with family audiences across the country after being billed as a pan-India film. The film will release on Voot post its theatrical run.
