The countdown to Rakshit Shetty’s next, 777 Charlie has begun. The film, which is releasing in theatres worldwide on June 10, will have special paid premieres across movie halls in Karnataka, online bookings for which have opened already. And those that opened are nearly sold out already. There’s quite a craze for Rakshit’s first release in over two and half years. So far, pretty much every everything about the film that has been released to the public, be it the songs, teaser or trailer, have been received phenomenally well and it looks like that will continue with the movie as well. Shortly after Rakshit announced that bookings for the paid premieres had opened, tickets flew off the shelves in no time. At the moment, very few halls have gone live with advance bookings and more are expected to be added in the next couple of days.
777 Charlie is a home production for Rakshit. The actor, who is on a schedule break from his film with Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu maker Hemanth M Rao, Sapta Saagaradaache Ello, for which he has to gain a substantial amount of weight, has been going to town, quite literally to promote the Kiranraj K debut directorial. Rakshit has also been touring key markets on a publicity tour and gearing up for a set of 21 special premieres for pet lovers. These shows, across different cities in the country, start tomorrow and go on till Thursday.
Written by Kiranraj, 777 Charlie is an emotion-packed ride about the transformative journey that Rakshit’s character Dharma undergoes after he gets a dog called Charlie. The film was shot across different locations in India and with three dogs playing Charlie in it. Also starring Sangeetha Sringeri, Raj B Shetty, Bobby Simha and Danish Sait in pivotal roles, the film has music by Nobin Paul and will release in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi.
