It looks like Tamil re-releases are having the time of their life in the Telugu-speaking states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. After the stupendous reception to Surya S/O Krishnan (Vaaranam Aayiram) and Raghuvaran B Tech ( Vellaiilla Pattadhari), Ravi Krishna and Soniya Aggarwal's 7G Brundavan Colony (7G Rainbow Colony) is gearing up for re-release.
Soniya Aggarwal excited about the film
7G Rainbow Colony marked Soniya Aggarwal's sophomore project in Tamil after her debut with Selvaraghavan's Kaadhal Kondein (2003), in which she teamed up with Dhanush. The film was released simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu.
Calling it a magical love story, Soniya shared her excitement about the re-release and wrote on her social media handle, "I'm absolutely delighted and thrilled to hear that one of my all-time favorites, the cult classic movie #7GBrundavanColony, is making a comeback in theaters! This magical love story will grace the big screen once again, almost after 19 years.Every memory associated with this film still feels as vivid as ever for me."

7G BrundavanColony, a cult classic
The plot of 7G Brundavan Colony revolves around the unrequited love of a young man. Kadhir (Ravi Krishna), who is perceived as a good-for-nothing person, falls in love with Anitha (Soniya Aggarwal). Just when things look up for Kadhir and he finally gets a job, the sudden demise of Anitha in unusual circumstances, leaves him heartbroken and his life changes forever. The romantic drama went on to attain a cult status among youngsters then.
A sequel to 7G Brundavan Colony in the cards?
There is a buzz that director Selvaraghavan is looking at making a sequel to the film. Ravi Krishna, who hasn't been part of any Tamil film since Aaranya Kaaandam (2011) is likely to reprise his character, if the film indeed gets rolling
