Today marks the ninth anniversary of the release of Aashiqui 2, a romantic musical featuring Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in lead roles. The 2013 movie, directed by Mohit Suri, marked Shraddha Kapoor’s Bollywood debut. She played the role of Aarohi. The actress described the movie as a life-changing experience and appreciated everyone for their ongoing support.
In her statement, Shraddha remarked that the character of Aarohi arrived in her life and ended up completely transforming it. She also expressed her gratitude to everyone who gave her lots of love and affection for her performance. When people recognise the film, its music, and the tale even after a long time, it feels inspirational and special, said the Baaghi actress.
She also thanked director Mohit Suri for providing her with this character and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. “It will always live and be with me,” she added.
The film follows Rahul, portrayed by Aditya Roy Kapoor, a failing musician, who meets and finds love in Aarohi, a talented singer at a bar. While assisting her in fulfilling her dreams of becoming a famous singer, he engages in self-destructive behaviour and ends up spoiling his life and career.
