Here’s a fresh Telugu web series on the block! The series Alludu Garu, featuring Abhijeet Poondla, Dhanya Balakrishna, Y Kasi Viswanath, Sudha, and Shalini Kondepudi as the key cast, will release on the popular OTT platform Aha this month.
Billed as a coming-of-age narrative, the web series is helmed by Jayanth Gali, who is noted for Love Life and Pakodi. Tamada Media has bankrolled the series. Modern-day relationships are far from simple and sorted and the web series delves into just that, the complexities of it all. The first episode of the show is slated to release on the platform on October 29.
Ajay, played by Abhijeet Poondla, and Amulya, played by Dhanya Balakrishna, have just tied the knot. The newly-wedded couple finds themselves in a conservative family setting. Ajay is irritated by his rather over-familiar in-laws played by Kasi Viswanath and Nalini Sudha. It’s not the best of the start of his bond with his in-laws but Ajay gradually tries to settle into the family (pun intended), taking the middle road and keeping his perceptions and viewpoints aside. However, it gets to his nerves soon and in a hilarious spree of events, it all comes down to whether he can make it into the family or not.

Ajit Thakur, the CEO of Aha said in a media statement that he believes the show to be a worthy addition to the digital content library of the platform. He added that the show has the potential to ‘strike a chord with audiences across all age groups,’ for the premise is a “relevant take on relationships within a middle-class household in a lighter vein.”
The streaming platform has streamed the biggest films of 2021 such as Cold Case, Super Deluxe, Krack, Chaavu Kaburu Challaga, 11th Hour, Zombie Reddy, Naandhi, In the Name of God, Needa, Kala, aha Bhojanambu, Chathur Mukham, Kudi Yedamaithe, Tharagathi Gadhi Daati, The Baker and the Beauty and more.
