Director Suku Purvaj, who forayed into Telugu cinema with the thriller Shukra, later proved his worth in a genre-bender Maataraani Mounamidhi, which hit theatres in the second half of 2022. After two small-scale outings, the filmmaker has set his eyes on something bigger this time - a superhero film titled A Master Piece. The pre-production formalities commenced a few weeks ago.

A Master Piece, the superhero saga is bankrolled by Srikanth Kandragula under Cinema Bandi Productions. Arvind Krishna, Bigg Boss Telugu fame Ashu Reddy, Sneha Gupta, Archana Ananth and others essay pivotal roles in this film. After extensive pre-production work, it looks like the team is set to commence the filming of the ambitious, larger-than-life tale. Here’s what we know.

Suku Purvaj has stated that the shoot of A Master Piece will commence on January 26 in Araku. The film will be shot across three schedules until mid-April and will wrap its post-production formalities in the summer. The first schedule will go on for a fortnight in Araku till February 10. After a week’s break, the team will reunite on February 18 for a long schedule till the end of March.

Select portions of A Master Piece will also be shot at Kulumanali in the first half of April. The makers unveiled the film's first look on Tuesday ahead of the shoot commencement. Donning a stylish costume, the protagonist steps onto his scooter in the middle of a busy road in the poster. Srikanth Kandragula assures that the film will be shot on a lavish scale with impressive VFX.

While Suku Purvaj’s first film, Shukra, which also starred Arvind Krishna in a pivotal role, is streaming on Amazon Prime Video, Maataraani Mounamidhi will land on aha shortly.
