Yami Gautam’s upcoming highly awaited crime drama, A Thursday has finally unveiled its premiere date, along with an intriguing trailer. The trailer signals at a thrilling, high stakes story, which will keep viewers at the edge of their seats as they watch the drama unfold.

The trailer, which can be viewed on Disney+Hotstar’s official social media handles, introduces viewers to Gautam’s character, a playschool teacher named Naina Jaiswal. The trailer starts off with the woman calling the police with a shocking revelation that she has taken 16 kindergarteners hostage and that their lives are under threat unless Jaiswal’s demands are met. Neha Dhupia and Atul Kulkarni also appear in the trailer essaying the role of police officers who are seen scrambling to fulfill Jaiswal’s demands while trying to figure out how to rescue the hostages safely.

As the trailer progresses, the full extent of Jaiswal’s insanity starts to unravel, as her demands start getting progressively bigger as she even demands to speak with the Prime Minister, played by Dimple Kapadia. Jaiswal also puts forward the threat that she would start murdering the children one by one, if her demands are not met on time, and she seems to make good on her promise as we see her brandish a gun, taunting the officers.

The upcoming film will release on Disney+Hotstar on February 17, 2022. A Thursday is written and directed by Behzad Khambata and produced by Ronnie Screwala and Premnath Rajagopalan under the banners of RSVP Movies and Blue Monkey Films respectively. The upcoming film also features Karanvir Sharma, Maya Sarao, Kalyanee Mulay and Boloram Das.
