Brazilian vampire comedy A Vampire in The Family is releasing on December 24 this year, to tighten our seatbelts for a fun, ‘fangy’ ride unlike ever before. Releasing on Netflix, this film will take vampire lovers on a wild and chaotic journey. Directed by Alê McHaddo, known for his O Amor Dá Trabalho and GadgetGang in Outer Space, the film featured a similar strong foundation in screenplay, which was scripted by Mussum: O Filmis-famed Paulo Cursino.

A Vampire in The Family features a strong cast, comprising Leandro Hassum as Fernandinho, Monique Alfradique as Vanessa, Edson Celulari as Ula Drax, Romulo Arantes Neto as Greg, Mel Maia as Carol, Maria Flor Franco as Moniquinha, Eliezer Motta as Claudionor, Antônio Fragoso as Chicão, Renata Bras as Michele, and Caio Mendonca as Ameba.

Plot of A Vampire in The Family

The plot revolves around family man Fernandinho, a former football player turned podcast commentator, who is unpleasantly taken aback by an unexpected visit from his brother-in-law Gregório. If a lazy, inconvenient brother-in-law is not a big enough pain in the arse, then try having a world-domination aspiring vampire one. Now, it is upon bumbling, scared Fernandinho to save the world with his unlikely allies, from the bloodthirsty clutches of shapeshifting and ambitious vampires.
